Dr. Burnette and his staff is dedicated to continuing education in order to offer the most modern services and technology for our practice. They continually seek to improve their techniques because they only want the best for their patients.

Our Story

Wendell Dental has been a staple of Wendell, North Carolina and surrounding areas of Raleigh, NC for generations.

Practice opened

Built by Dr. Leo Horton in the mid-50’s, the practice has not moved from its original place on Wendell Boulevard in over 60 years.

Dr. Young Transition

In 1979, Dr. Merlin Young purchased the practice. While keeping the integrity of the practice intact, Dr. Young decided to incorporate some new renovations to the building.

Safe & Sterile

In 2016, our state of the art sterilization equipment were installed and activated to help maintain the safety of our patients.

State-of-the-Art

In the Fall of 2019, Dr. Burnette joined the practice in conjunction with several brand new operatories.

New Ownership

As of December 2021, Dr. Burnette has become the sole owner of Wendell Dental. He looks to continue the standard of care set by Dr. Young before him.

Meet The Dentist

T. Andrew BurnetteD.D.S.

Dr. Andrew Burnette was born and raised in Wake County, just down the road in Raleigh. He studied University of North Carolina and graduated with a BA degree in Exercise and Sport Science and a minor in Chemistry. Following his undergraduate career, Dr. Burnette received his DDS degree at West Virginia University.
